The speed control options are used to
control the amount of delay that is applied to
the crawl engine while playing a text file.
Controlling the crawl speed is as easy as
moving your mouse, pressing the arrow keys
or using the mouse wheel.
Speed changes are fixed and were
computed when you started the DeCrawler
program. All three speed control devices
use a maximum of 30 and a minimum of 0
(zero) speed delays.
Use this option to change the speed control device and style you wish to use. There are 3 standard speed control device types in DeCrawler. A. Use Keyboard Only This will use the arrow keys and the PgUp/Dn keys to change the speed while scrolling. The arrow keys use a smaller increment than the PgUp/PgDn keys. Most computers require 10-15 key presses on the arrows and 4-5 presses on the Page keys to go from stop to full speed. B. Mouse Movement This option uses a forward and backward mouse movement to change the scroll speed while playing. The amount of travel is set to 3-4 inches from stop to full speed. C. Mouse Wheel This option uses a forward and backward wheel movement to change the scroll speed while playing. The amount of wheel travel is set to 1 - 2 complete turns from stop to full speed. |
